First Wave Adventures specialise in outdoor learning and activity trips for school groups and study tours. Based on our very own beach, the Blue Flag award-winning Great Western in Newquay, we are the leading activity centre for schools visiting the  North Cornish coast. If it’s an adventure you’re looking for your youth or school group, then look no further.

Learn to bodyboard & surf the awesome Atlantic waves with 4 times UK surf champ Adam Griffiths and his team of amazing instructors, coasteer our beautifully rugged coastline whilst learning about the nature & environment, have fun playing beach games whilst learning about being beach safe in a fun way, chillout with some surf stretching lessons and dance the night away on the beach at our Silent Disco.

Catering for all age groups and skills, our outdoor pursuits cover key stage 2-5 educational objectives whilst being fun for all in a fantastically safe environment. Stay in school friendly accommodation with our great value residential programmes, with private, en-suite rooms, in-house dining options, and evening entertainment. We cater for small and large groups alike, with a choice of packages to suit all budgets.
